The goal
American Mahjong is a four-player game of building a specific 14-tile hand from the selected card. You exchange unwanted tiles, draw new ones, and sometimes claim another player’s discard.
A card is a menu of winning patterns. Choose a promising line and collect its exact numbers, suits, Flowers, Winds, and Dragons. You can change direction as new tiles arrive, as long as your exposed sets still fit.
Deal → Charleston → draw or call → discard → repeat → Mahjong or an empty wall.
In solo practice, you sit in East with three bots. For a first game, the original Training Card offers ten approachable hands. The 2025 Card offers a larger set of patterns.
